The methods in which we study the online experiences of adolescents should be evidence-based and informed by youth. To do this, our team employed a participatory design approach to directly engage adolescents in the co-design of two approaches for conducting adolescent online safety research: diary studies and analyzing social media trace data.
The objective of the project was to develop a prototype of a space vehicle system for monitoring alerts and notifications and demonstrate a modern user interface that meets the needs of Peraton’s business, a national security company, and of the users of Peraton’s software product.
I conducted a comparative study to provide insights and gain a deeper understating of how to design body-referenced graphical menus (menus attached to the body) for virtual environments that support fast completion times, minimize error, and feel natural.
